Lantana Is Not Horrida

The native Texas lantana, Lantana horrida, is blooming profusely this year. I experimented with not cutting this one back this year. Will it take over my yard? We'll see...

I am looking forward to seeing how this goes. I think I cut back my purple lantana in the front way too hard this year. The learning never stops....LOVE IT! I have some horrida in the back...it is so bright, isn't it? HOT!

Beautiful lantana! Would love to experiment those plants in my yard as well. Nice share!

I love the hot colors. Funny enough my problem is I can't get a lantana plant to survive!

It is one of my favorite lantanas. Yours is certainly blooming early this year. I know this plant loves the cooler nights best for deep color and that is what it is getting right now.

This is my second year with the lantanas just languishing...they are pathetic. I planted them around the trees out front and they have become an embarrassment. They get plenty of sun since the trees are very small. I always thought anyone could grow them & I usually have great success in the garden.
