Though I can't abide the zexmenia trying to take over the sidewalk - I have to cut that back, even if the finches love the seed from it. Of course, I only cut it back so it's not on the sidewalk - it's not like I cut it all the way back to the ground.

And just this weekend, I left one stalk of the Brazos penstemon because it's got lacewing eggs on it...of course, I probably should have clipped and it moved it closer to the milkweed so the hatchlings could go crazy on the stupid aphids...katinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15658859113915782535noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31716379.post-39081143959124390712014-07-07T00:23:06.973-05:002014-07-07T00:23:06.973-05:00Than you for a very important reminder.Than you for a very important reminder.danger gardenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09227500551609537140noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31716379.post-33407355477275721952014-07-06T15:56:17.453-05:002014-07-06T15:56:17.453-05:00It's a good point and one worth making. I try to be selective, cutting back some plants and leaving others. Otherwise, it would be a jungle.Rock rose https://www.blogger.com/profile/00348711150803587369noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31716379.post-28506130692850356802014-07-06T14:09:10.510-05:002014-07-06T14:09:10.510-05:00Thought provoking. In light of what you've written I believe I owe him an apology.

I've made a point of planting for the wildlife and now I see a need to be more conscious of pruning for it too. Thanks very much for this post!TexasDebhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11214888876514137890noreply@blogger.com
